Privacy

The Banstead History website was created for people with an interest in local history. There is no facility to register or log in and consequently we do not hold any personal information about users of the site.

  • If you choose to contact us via any link, your email will receive an automated acknowledgement followed shortly by a personal reply. We do not keep lists of contributors nor are email addresses shared with any other organisation, nor any members of the group who are not directly involved in dealing with your enquiry.
  • If you have asked for your memories to be added to the website, your name will be included, but not your home or email addresses. If someone wishes to contact you they will need to do so by first contacting the webmaster who will forward their communication to the latest email address we have for you.
  • The only time email addresses may be made available to an external agency is if Banstead History is legally obliged to disclose such detail, in which case we will comply with such obligation.
  • Should you wish to verify, correct, change or remove any of the information on the site, please contact the Webmaster.

 

Cookies

Cookies are small files which are stored on a user's computer. They are designed to hold a modest amount of data specific to a particular client and website. Cookies do not in themselves present a threat to privacy, since they can only be used to store information that the user has volunteered or that the web server already has.

The Banstead History website does not set any cookies on Users' computers however other functions may e.g. the Google Search Functions and the web hosting company.
